Dear Strathcona,
Plans for Reunion 2010 are well underway and the committee is working hard to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable time. The following information is both and update and a reminder for those who haven’t registered yet to do so.
Over 200 people have registered for the entire Reunion and close to 300 for the Reunion Dinner. To avoid disappointment and ensure your participation the following cut-off dates apply:
• 24 May, 2010 River Cree Hotel
• 15 June, 2010 Reunion 2010 Registration
• 15 June, 2010 Reunion Dinner
• 15 June , 2010 Golf
The web page will continue to provide the most up to date information however for those of you who do not have access to a computer please feel free to contact me at 780-233-2438.
The Change of the Colonel of the Regiment Parade will take place Saturday the 26th of June at Steele Barracks. This parade will see Colonel (Ret`d) John Roderick, hand over the reigns and responsibilities of Colonel of the Regiment, to Major General (Ret`d) Cam Ross.
The Silent Auction on Friday June 25, 2010 at the Meet and Greet will be the final fundraising event for Reunion 2010. We are still accepting donations for this event. Any remaining funds will be directed to Reunion 2015.
For those of you taking transportation from the airport please be advised the Airport Sky shuttle is the most affordable. It is a small van that carries about 10 people, and will cost approx $15 per person, one way. A normal Airport Taxi can cost you $60 from the Airport to the River Cree Hotel.
